If I just purchased TechWriter 2009, how much will it cost to upgrade?
All customers who purchased TechWriter 2009 on or after January 1, 2012 are eligible for a free upgrade.
Customers who purchased TechWriter 2009 before January 1, 2012 are eligible to upgrade at 50% off the list price.
What types of licenses for TechWriter 2012 will be available?
In addition to the standard license that unlocks all of TechWriter's functionality, we will continue to offer the following licenses
for our customers who have specific documentation needs:
- TechWriter for Databases - Unlocks documenting databases only.
- TechWriter for XML Schemas - Unlocks documenting XML schemas only.
- TechWriter for Web Services - Unlocks documenting web services only.
How much does TechWriter 2012 cost?
Single user licenses for special editions of TechWriter have a retail price of $179. This includes TechWriter for Databases,
TechWriter for XML Schemas, and TechWriter for Web Services. A single user licenses for the complete TechWriter 2012 product have a retail
price of $349.
Will there be a TechWriter for Websites license?
While documenting websites is still supported by TechWriter 2012, we do not plan to offer a special edition TechWriter for Websites license.
Customers who are upgrading from TechWriter 2009 for Websites are eligle to upgrade to the complete TechWriter 2012 product.
